Tendonly

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 9, 2026

This policy explains what information the Tendonly app and the Tendonly website handle, where it goes, and the choices you have. Tendonly is operated by Ken Ohara ("we", "us"). If you have a question, email economicotechmexico@gmail.com.

We wrote this in plain language on purpose. If you are a young athlete, read it with a parent or guardian.

The short version

What the app stores on your device

When you use Tendonly, the app saves the following on your phone or browser so it can work:

Injury, pain, and recovery information is health information. We treat it as sensitive even though, today, it never leaves your device.

What we collect

From the app: nothing. The app has no account server yet. The app does not include analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking software.

From the website: the Tendonly website does not use cookies, analytics, or forms. Like any website, the company that hosts it receives basic technical information so it can show you the page:

Vercel handles that information under its own privacy policy. The website's typefaces are served from Vercel too, so your browser doesn't contact a font provider. We can see Vercel's request logs for security and troubleshooting, but we don't use them to identify or track you.

Because neither the app nor the website tracks you over time or across other sites, they work the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal. We don't allow other companies to track you across sites through Tendonly.

When the app opens other services

Some buttons open another app or website, and what happens there is covered by that company's privacy policy, not this one:

Sharing with trainers and parents

Tendonly lets an athlete choose what a linked trainer or a parent can see (check-ins, sessions, phase tests, food log, warning signs). In this version, sharing only works between accounts set up on the same device, and nothing is sent over the internet.

An athlete can change sharing in the Team tab, and can unlink a trainer they linked themselves. A trainer assigned by a team can be removed only by the team admin.

Warning signs can't be hidden from a linked trainer or parent, because they are about safety. But Tendonly is not an emergency service and nobody watches it around the clock. In an emergency, call 911.

Children and teens

Consumer health data

Injury, pain and recovery information is "consumer health data" under laws like Washington's My Health My Data Act. Our separate Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy explains how we handle it and your rights. In short: it stays on your device, and we don't collect, share, or sell it.

Security

Because your information is stored on your device, the best protection is your phone's own lock (passcode, Face ID, or fingerprint). Anyone who can unlock your phone, or use the same web browser, can open Tendonly and see what's in it. Information stored in the web version lives in that browser's storage, so avoid using the web version on a shared computer.

How long information is kept

Information stays on your device until you delete it in the app or delete the app (or clear your browser's site data for the web version). We don't keep a copy.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have other privacy rights. Email economicotechmexico@gmail.com and we will help, and we will never treat you differently for asking.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects what happens to your information (for example, if information will start leaving your device), we will tell you in the app and ask you to agree again before it takes effect. For athletes under 13, we will ask a parent or guardian.
